Revision rhinoplasty is an operation of the correction of a previously operated nose with distinct deformities.
Revision surgeries after a previous-rhinoplasty include a wide spectrum of surgeries from a small touch to reforming a nose from the begining. Therefore, the problem should be analyzed thoroughly and the noses that will really benefit from this surgery should be revised.
Revision surgeries performed for this purpose are generally satisfactory. The surgery can take 1 hour or 5 hours depending on the procedure. Since cartilage will usually be needed, there are two possibilities for this purpose: the harvesting of one’s own cartilage and/or the use of externally prepared cartilage. We have two places for one’s own cartilage: Ear and ribs. One or both can be used as needed. The cartilage that we use externally is also produced safely by going through many processes.
In addition, fascia, adipose tissue and filling products can be preferred in revision surgeries. All these are determined according to the needs.
